How do you stay motivated and push yourself in training?

I set goals for myself and work hard to reach them and when I reach my goals I look for better and bigger goals if I have a bad day I usually turn to motivation videos and speeches from other athletes.

Many athletes have pre-game rituals that help them get into the zone. What are some of your personal pre-game rituals or routines that you believe help you get in the zone before hitting the beach or pool?

I make sure that I have enough time to sort my self out at the venue so that I'm not stressing out when I get there. I make sure I have my ENGINE equipment and bag packed the night before. I eat a health filling breakfast and start hydrating myself the day before. When I am at the venue or even before I go use on what I am there for and visualise my race plan and strongly believe in a good warm up.

Reflecting on your career so far, what would you consider as the most memorable or defining moment?

My most memorable is reach my goals that I set myself. I qualified for 11 events for national age championships for swimming. My last nipper states I was sick, had my igssa swimming carnival the night before and only got to bed at 12pm and woke up at 5am to be down at the beach ready to race. I won medals individually but most importantly in team events as I pushed through the tiredness for my team.

Are there any specific achievements or milestones that you are particularly proud of and that you feel have significantly impacted your journey as an athlete?

Getting awarded nipper of the year in WA and qualifying for 11 events for swimming Australia national age championships and best of all being part of the engine athlete team.

Beyond your athletic pursuits, do you have any hobbies or passions that might surprise people?

I play viola, I love to eat and cook and love running for fun and fitness.

How do you balance your intense training and competition schedule with personal interests outside of your sport?

One thing I have learnt is that time management is a huge key to successful as well as commitment and encourage friends to come join me down at the beach for after training.

What are your top 3 ENGINE products (either for racing or training)?

1.Santorini one piece- in EVERY colour.

2. Goggles and cap in every style.

3. The Deck Parka- lasts forever and keeps me warm and cozy. The list goes on but I also love the unique drag suit as I can't find anything like it anywhere else!
