How do you stay motivated and push yourself in training?

I love what I do, but I have clear set our goals and intentions for each day, week and year to keep me accountable and striving to be better.

Many athletes have pre-game rituals that help them get into the zone. What are some of your personal pre-game rituals or routines that you believe help you get in the zone before hitting the beach or pool?

I don't have any pre race rituals or routines, I like to stay flexible. In our sport things are always changing and putting pressure on myself to have something go a certain way even before the gun goes off seems like a disadvantage to me. However, I do usually follow a similar schedule with a swim in a pool in the morning before heading to the beach to compete.

Reflecting on your career so far, what would you consider as the most memorable or defining moment?

I have some really incredible moments on my career so far, I'm very proud of my 2 professional series races. Feels like it kind of cements you as an elite Ironman. The most defining moment however would have to be moving to the Gold Coast and joining Surfers SLSC, without them and Zayne Hamill I would not have achieved what I have!

Are there any specific achievements or milestones that you are particularly proud of and that you feel have significantly impacted your journey as an athlete?

Making the move to the Gold Coast and away from my family was a particularly difficult decision. Nonetheless the best decision I've ever had to make!

How do you balance your intense training and competition schedule with personal interests outside of your sport?

Our racing and training schedule is really intense. Not much time for anything outside of it however I love to surf. When it's not in a crucial part of the week and the waves are good. I'm usually out there. To me surfing helps keep me in check and grounded and is a really good get away.

What are your top 3 ENGINE products (either for racing or training)?

Club Cuts!!! Can't go anywhere without these. The perfect training companion in my opinion. Then it's got to be the Iron Jammer 3, this pair of jammers is unparalleled. Makes me feel fast and ready for whatever racing throws at me. Thirdly the back pack pro, I like taking a lot of gear to the beach with me, and this has me sorted!
